It offers matured holographic microscopes based on the revolutionary patented Digital Holographic Microscope (DHM®) technology. Additionally of having a standard product portfolio, Lyncée Tec has expert competences for customizing system to specific needs, and supplies OEM solutions.

To maintain a superior position in the field of technology and innovation, close collaboration exists with competence centers at universities and in particular with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland.

The proximity of the EPFL is a great advantage for a high-tech company such as Lyncée Tec, since it provides a wide range of know-how and expertise, resulting in numerous patents held by or licensed to Lyncée Tec. A highly qualified multidisciplinary team of more than 20 physicists, biologists and engineers specialized in optics, software, mechanics, and in micro- and nano-technology applications, ensures the presence of the requisite skills in terms of advice and technical execution, including development, manufacturing, assembling, quality assurance, sales and support.

Our History

  • After 10 years of technology development at the Microvision and Microdiagnostics group (MVD) and the Laboratory of Neuroenergetics and Cellular Dynamics (LNDC) of the EPFL, and numerous awards for its innovation, the company started to market DHM instruments in 2003.
  • The office was installed in the Innovation Park (PSE) on the site of the EPFL. It offers a unique location in the region of Lake Léman with numerous specialized sub-contractors manufacturers in the field of microtechnologies. Lyncée Tec belongs to the Micronarc and Bioalp clusters.
  • The company has been granted several industry awards: Lausanne Région Entreprendre , CTI start-up Label in 2003, WA De Vigier and Venture in 2004, and Swiss Technology Award in 2006.
  • In 2006, the company started its international expansion, today with worldwide presence of distributors.
  • 2014 Lyncée Tec has celebrated 10 years existence and market experience with DHM®. Standard as well as customized DHM® systems have been installed in many renowned universities and industries all around the world for both material and life science applications. Several OEM partnership have been developped in industrial metrology, semiconductor and solar fields.

The Lyncée insight story comes from Lyncée or Lynceus, name of the person in the Greek Mythology. He was well-known for his sharpness of sight, able to see through walls, underground and over the horizon.

Such sight is not only needed for our instruments to make the invisible visible but also to improve functionality and quality of the growing number of innovative products in the nano and micro range which continuously revolutionize our life and working environment.

The Lyncée insight is devoted to develop and offer innovative real time and high resolution optical measurements to the global market.

Our Mission

Our mission is to develop, produce and distribute the most accurate and powerful 3D analysis instruments based on the Digital Holographic Microscope (DHM®) technology.

  • To set DHM® system as standard technique for optical 3D metrology with products designed to provide long-term benefits for its customers
  • To keep DHM® as cutting edges instruments, by improving continuously their speed, simplicity-of-use, and accuracy
  • To deliver solutions adapted to various key markets in both life and material sciences as well as to continuously extend the application range
  • To fulfill the most demanding quantitative and qualitative optical analysis needs in both industrial quality control and R&D.

Our vision

Our vision is to support the innovation in both life and material sciences by providing best-in-class holographic microscopes.

Lyncée Tec is collaborating with scientists at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), the University of Lausanne (UNIL), the EMPA, the NTB, and is supporting national and European academic projects (e.g. Real3D).  Therefore Lyncée Tec ensures cutting edge technology to our customers by transferring scientific development to practical industrial applications.
