The indispensable software to fully reveal DHM™ possibilities

The koala software is an essential component , that contains most of the innovating concepts of the DHM Technology. In addition to DHM specific functions, koala implements a large variety of standard tools and advanced features for data processing, measurements and external controls, in a flexible and user-friendly environment.

Koala allows different operating modes, providing flexibility to address different situations with the same instrument:

Real-time: For routine inspections and standard observations
Sequence: To record movies presenting the temporal evolution of your samples
Off-line measurements: Reconstruction of holograms and sequences stored in your computer. Particularly useful for perfroming specific measurements after preliminary observations
Monitoring: To follow the temporal evolution of your sample in specific user-defined areas
Stroboscopic: For characterizing high frequency periodic phenomena
Vertical scanning: To improve the vertical measurement range
Production: Customized interface for specific applications such as automated or semi-automated quality control

Koala offers specific DHM tools that improves ease of use, stability and robustness :

Digital focusing: Improves the depth of view of up to 50x compared to classical optical microscopy. Enables accurate and simple fine tuning of image focus without specimen translation
Digital specimen tilt compensation: Simple mouse-click tilt compensation of specimen avoids time consuming and impractical specimen orientation adjustments by mechanical means
Adjustable phase offset: User defined zero referencing with on-line stabilization providing outstanding measurement stability in standard environments
Digital aberrations compensations: Allows accurate and artefacts-free phase measurements in non-conforming optical situations

Koala allows complete topographic characterisation of your sample:

Numerous display modes available: 1D profiles, 2D and 3D images, colour palettes, etc
Mouse driven interaction with 3D images for rotations, translations, scaling and zoom
  Step height measurements
  Profile extraction in any direction
  Roughness and waviness measurements
  Computation of surface texture parameters
  Form removal and Surface fitting

Koala will certainly fit your environment:

Standard technological platform (C++ .NET for windows)
Standard file formats for saving your results
Flexibility to adapt to external controls
