The widest choice of objectives in interference microscopy

The unique configuration of Digital Holographic Microscopy (DHM) designs the reference path outside the microscope objective. It avoids the use of expensive and constraining Mirau or Michelson objectives and allows DHM to be the unique interference microscopy to use of the same type of objectives as optical microscopy. This ensures several very comfortable and practical issues.

Use the best adapted objective whatever your application in material or life science

With the widest choice of objectives in interference microscopy, DHM ensures you to meet any of your needs:

magnification objectives from 1.25 × up to 100 × with numerical apertures up to 0.90 in air and 1.4 in oil immersion
high magnification long working distance objectives for high resolution images of bulky samples
compact objectives for applications such as electophysiology or MEMS characterization, where samples need space for electrodes, tips, probes, needles,...
  water and oil immersion objectives
objectives with cover slip correction for biology
  objectives adapted for fluorescence

Compensate for any glass thickness or liquid independently from the objective Immerged and glass plate covered samples and samples under vacuum can be measured as easily as in air. The coherence compensation module on the reference path automatically ensures an optimal and precise compensation for any glass or liquid thickness and refractive index. The correction has to be performed once per sample and is reported for all other objectives.

Keep the same optical configuration whatever the sample’s reflectivity

A unique objective is needed when working with different sample reflectivities and no manipulation is required when it changes. The DHM internal motorized illumination module ensures the optimal balance between both light paths. Therefor you always work with an optimal illumination of your sample.

All the objectives can be mounted on the DHM objective turret and all have the same parfocal length ensuring a constant focus without moving the sample when changing the objective. The objectives delivered with the DHM are tested and selected for best performances. They are factory calibrated and configured for immediate use.

Compatible instruments:

R2200 series, R2100 series, R1100 series, R1000 series, T1000 series

The beam is divided in two paths. The object path images the sample through the microscope objective. The reference path is built externally to the latter and includes the coherence compensation module witch compensates for the use of any glass plate or immersion liquid. The illumination module cares for an optimal illumination of the sample.
